Day  1 Rio de Janeiro

Arrive Rio and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 Rio de Janeiro

We will drive to one of the older parts of Rio called Cosme Velho, from where we take the train to the Corcovado mountain with the gigantic statue of Christ the Redeemer (2.300ft above sea level).  A modern Swiss-made cogwheel rail climbs the mountain from its base at 15 meters almost to the summit at 710 meters.  The trip up takes 17 minutes approx, at a maximum speed of 15km/h.  The trip down takes 22min. at a speed of 12km/h. Return to your hotel. This afternoon visit the world famous Sugar Loaf Mountain in the middle of Guanabara Bay, from where one of the most breathtaking views of the city of Rio can be seen (take the two-stage car up to the top of the Mountain).  Also included is a panoramic tour to downtown Rio, which is a great opportunity to see some of the historical sites of the city such as the Cathedral and the Municipal Theatre.

Day 3 Rio de Janeiro

Day 4 Rio de Janeiro - Salvador

Transfer to the airport and connect by air to Salvador.  Transfer to your hotel.

Day 5 Salvador

The City Tour starts in the modern suburb of Barra at the mouth of the Bay with its famous lighthouse.  We make our way slowly by car or coach to the old historical section of town, the Pelourinho area with the largest and the best preserved complex of colonial architecture in the Americas.  We stroll through the narrow, bustling streets lined with buildings in pastel shades of an age gone by. We visit the church of San Francisco with its exuberant gold-leaf Baroque interior and the Pelourinho Square, the heart of the old town.  This tour shows two distinct aspects of Salvador, the new and the old, concentrating on the early expansion of the city.  Optional stop at Mercado Modelo a thriving market fot local artifacts.

Day 6 Salvador - Manaus

Transfer to the airport and connect by air to Manaus.  You will be met on arrival and transferred to the Tropical Hotel, located on the banks of the Amazon.

Day 7 Manaus - Eco Park

Enjoy a Meeting of the Waters tour, where the Rio Negro & Amazon run side by side and then travel to the Ecopark Lodge.  Air conditioned bungalows with private baths built in perfect harmony with nature. All the comforts of home in an exotic setting.  The Ecopark is known for its unique and pioneer course of survival in the rainforest.  Bilingual guides with ample knowledge of the area will teach you how and where, to find edible fruits and potable water, learn first aid, to build a shelter, to make bridges of rope, to find your way in the forest and much more.

Day 8 Eco Park

This morning a nature hike through the jungle, then lunch featuring typical Amazonian dishes.  Visit to the home of local Amazonian residents with an opportunity for piranha fishing.  This evening try some alligator spotting.

Day 9 Eco Park - Manaus - Iguassu

Visit the unique monkey sanctuary.  Transfer back to Manaus Airport and connect by air to Iguassu. On arrival transfer to your hotel.

Day 10 Iguazu

Travel to the Argentine side of the falls, an astounding sight!  Enjoy the majesty of the world's most spectacular waterfalls.  Set in pristine rainforest with countless birds and butterfiles, situated on the borders of Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil, they plunge in a series of gigantic waterfalls over 3 kms long and more than 80 metres high. The thunderous roar of crashing water and the multicoloured mist is natural beauty at it's best. It is undoubtedly one of the world's impressive sights.  Later see the mighty Devil's Throat Cataract. We then transfer across the border to the Brazilian town of Foz do Iguacu.  

Day 11  Iguassu

Morning tour to the Brazil side of the falls.  This afternoon transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
