Highlights of Argentina & Brazil

Day 1 Buenos Aires
Arrive Buenos Aires , you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 Buenos Aires
A three and a half hour sightseeing tour visiting the most outstanding sites. Departing from the Hotel to get to 9 de Julio Ave, the widest in the world, past the famous Colon Opera house, the Obelisk commemorating the first founding of the city in 1536 to get to Plaza de Mayo (May Square), and the buildings surrounding it: Government House, Metropolitan Cathedral with the Mausoleum of General San Martin, Argentina’s greatest national hero and the Cabildo, the colonia town hall built in 1751. Then on to La Boca, the typically Italian district, where the first Italian immigrants settled and ‘Caminito’ street. The tour continues to Buenos Aires port area, past San Martín Square towards Palermo Chico residential district and Palermo Park with its jacaranda and palo borracho trees which flower in the spring and late summer. The ride continues to Recoleta, the elegant district, to visit Recoleta Cemetery where the famous are laid to rest (including Eva Peron). Return to the hotel along the stylish Alvear Ave. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 3 Buenos Aires

Day 4 Buenos Aires - Iguassu
You will be transferred to the airport and connect by air to Iguazu. On arrival commence a tour of the Argentine side of the falls walking along the paths that cross the jungle that lead to the falls. The lower path is a 1200 meter walk by the river to the foot of some of the cascades . After the walk and a short train ride to Puerto Canoas, board a small motorboat to the footbridge over the mighty Devil's Throat Cataract. Then transfer across the Argentine - Brazilian border to your hotel on the Brazilian side.

Day 5 Iguassu
This morning visit the Brazilian side of the Falls. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 6 Iguassu - Rio de Janeiro
Transfer to the airport and connect by air to Rio. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 7 Rio de Janeiro
After a beautiful scenic drive alongside Copacabana , Ipanema and Leblon beaches and Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, you arrive at the bottom of the Corcovado hill and embark on a comfortable train trip up the mountain to where the statue of Christ the Redeemer, overlooks Rio and its famous beaches .Return to Tijuca and then to the hotel .This afternoon depart on the city tour and take the cable car to the summit of Sugar Loaf for spectacular views of Rio and its beaches.

Day 8 Rio de Janeiro
Day at leisure.

Day 9 Rio de Janeiro
Transfer to the airport.
