Vessel: Quark Ocean Adventurer

The Ocean Adventurer is a comfortable vessel with spacious cabins, which all have private bathroom facilities and exterior views. Designed to carry travelers in comfort to the most remote corners of the world, Ocean Adventurer was built in 1976, and underwent extensive upgrades in 2017. This multi-million dollar investment included renovations to the interior of the ship, significant technical upgrades, and the addition of a new cabin category, the Owner’s Suites. The refurbishment gave the ship new bathrooms in every cabin, and upgrades to the Lounge, Dining Room, gym, and suites. Technical enhancements – including two new engines, generators, gear  boxes, drive systems, and re-bladed propellers – resulted in increased fuel efficiency, and a minimized carbon footprint.

The ship accommodates  128 guests and has a staff&crew of 87. Ice Class 1A.Offers  a good range  of  cabins with private facilities, lounge areas,lecture theatre, Gym and medical clinic

10 Nights / 11 Days

Arrive Punta Arenas for  1 night then fly to King George Island 

Board your ship . Onwards to the Antarctic Circle, exploring the waterways of the Antarctic Peninsula in inflatable Zodiac's, heading further South to the Antarctic Mainland and return to Ushuaia.

Abbreviated Itinerary:

DAY 1: Arrive in Punta Arenas

DAY 2: Punta Arenas-King George Island Join ship

DAY 3-5: Explore Antarctic Peninsula & South Shetland Islands 

DAY 6-7: Cross the Antarctic Circle 

DAY 8 &9 : northbound along the Antarctic Peninsula   

DAY 10: Disembark and fly back to Punta Arenas

DAY 11: end Punta Arenas
